I think I saw something somewhere about a new piece of technology that breaks the mold of its predecessors and moves from a somewhat flat, 2-D design to a 3-D one. I think it might have been a computer processor. If I’m right, this should be awesome.
I think the deal is that the old ones were like a square. The new one is like a cube. That’s like a ton of squares, all folded on top of each other, and interlaced to a major extent. If that is the case, then I’ll bet CPU speeds could take a massive shift, and increase by at least a factor of 5.
But what do I know? I only saw this thing mentioned once, I don’t remember where, and I could have the completely wrong idea about it.
But the possibility is just too cool to ignore…
