Which would you rather have?:

1. A computer chip in your brain that allowed you to download via satellite your position on various maps that you have stored within your chip.

2. A biological brain without chips that has been modified to be 10 times as intelligent as Einstein was, with a photographic memory and similar abilities for every other sense.

I pick 2!! I think we could modify the mind by connecting it with technology, but much more powerful seems to be the option of souping up what we’ve already got. Adding layer after layer of new brain tissue… I’m not saying I’d like to see someone with a gargantuan skull. There’s probably a way to do this without increasing the size of the head at all. What would be the point otherwise?
