Blue Sky Limousine

I like the old “Knight Rider” show. I think its neat to imagine having an intelligent artificially intelligent friend inside your car. I think that scenario is possible, just like the one where SkyNet decides to kill us all. But a Knight Rider future seems like a lot more fun.

I wonder if in some government test facility somewhere, they’ve already achieved AI? If that were to happen, how long would it be before the technology became permissible for use in normal appliances and machines? Would we ever see an ad selling us on the benefits of a self-driving autopilot that can hold a decent conversation?
